We are looking for a Product Design and Development Engineer with design/development experience in industrial mechanical machinery specifically for our industry leading; KREBS Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves Global Product Line to join our facility in Tucson, Arizona

Job scope:
- Work with other product development teams, engineering and sales engineers to learn what is needed / required for the new products and or improve existing products for optimum wear, efficiency, and ease of maintenance characteristics
- Designs new products, improvements and modifications to existing designs
- Work with manufacturing and suppliers to assure design objectives are met
- Assists subsidiary offices with technical information to support all product lines
- Coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure a technically accurate and timely completion of new product designs and existing design improvements
- Work with suppliers and internal manufacturing to provide technical support concerning new and modified product component designs
- Performs necessary engineering research, calculations, to publish technical data that supports the product line
- Possible visits to customers sites either with sales or on behalf of sales to provide product support or trouble shooting functions
- Assists in the writing of product IOM manuals
- Capable of using standard computer software tools such as Catia (3D parametric program experience) databases, spreadsheets, word processing programs to evaluate findings and prepare reports and presentations
- Ability to get along with others and work in a team environment
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in development of new product designs, modifications and improvements to existing product designs, general arrangements, assembly arrangements, product conversion arrangements and detailed drawings for pump and drive components/industrial machinery components.
- Minimum 3+ years previous experience (non-academic) working closely with industrial/mechanical design Engineers in designing new product components and revisions.
- Minimum of 5 years previous experience providing conceptual design drawings for new products using Catia/FEA/prior pump design knowledge (non-academic or combination of academic and 3+ years)
- Interact with designers and engineers to assist in the design of peripheral components along with validating all of the supporting documents for the products.
- Ability to get along with others and work in team environment.

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in Mechanical Engineering preferred and a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in project engineering or manufacturing
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience working with manufacturing, machining parts, structural steel, castings or mining background
- Must have 3D parametric software capabilities (Catia experience a definite plus).
- Ability to perform engineering calculations necessary in structural and hydraulic design
