Job Details

- Salary: R10,616.38 per month (excluding benefits)
- Reporting To: Team Leader
Job Purpose
The role focuses on street cleaning, refuse collection, and bin delivery services. Duties include maintaining cleanliness in public areas and ensuring efficient waste management services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform street cleaning, sweeping, and litter picking
- Collect and handle refuse, including spillage cleanup
- Place refuse bags on designated collection points
- Assist with bin deliveries and replacements
- Load and offload refuse bags and bins
- Maintain health and safety standards (wear protective clothing)
- Report safety incidents, equipment issues, or injuries
- Engage with the public and resolve service-related queries
- Ensure completion of daily operational tasks
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 (Matric not required)
- At least 12 months general work or cleaning experience
- No criminal record
- Physically and mentally fit
- South African citizen
- Must reside within the City of Johannesburg (proof required)
Required Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of cleaning tools and waste management procedures
- Understanding of relevant legislation and company policies
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team
- Good time management and task prioritization skills
