Operator Support

PPC South Africa is currently seeking a dedicated Operator Support professional to join our Inland Business Unit at the Hercules site in Pretoria. This permanent role is ideal for individuals with experience in the cement or manufacturing industry looking to grow their career with a market leader.

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the Cement Industry or general manufacturing.
• Licenses (Ideal): Valid Forklift or Front-End Loader (FEL) license.
• Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities and manufacturing process knowledge.

As an Operator Support, you will assist the Milling and Dispatch teams in maintaining cost-effective and safe plant operations. Your duties will include:

• Production Control: Assist with shift logs, operate packers and palletisers, and adjust conveyor routes during milling.
• Process Optimization: Perform 1st-line diagnostics and troubleshooting for mechanical or electrical issues.
• Plant Maintenance: Conduct systematic equipment surveillance, condition monitoring, and pre-start checks.
• Material Handling: Operate mobile equipment (Bobcat, Forklift, FEL) and manage bulk offloading of raw materials.
• Quality & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with SABS standards and PPC safety protocols. Assist with sampling at the VRM and warehouse.
