Main Purpose of the Job

The successful candidate will perform general worker duties within the milling environment. The role mainly focuses on issuing and managing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• 1–3 years of experience in a fast-paced work environment
• Basic understanding of workplace health and safety
• Stores or inventory management experience will be an advantage
• Basic computer literacy
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be reliable, honest, and able to work in a team
• Willing to work shifts
• Willing to work Monday to Saturday (6-day work week)
• Must always wear and maintain required PPE

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The General Worker will be responsible for:

• Issuing PPE to employees and contractors according to company procedures
• Keeping accurate PPE records, including returns and replacements
• Monitoring PPE condition and expiry dates
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and risk assessments
• Assisting with stock control and inventory management
• Supporting daily operational activities within the milling environment
